DESCRIPTION:NOTICE OF DEADLINE FOR FILING NOMINATING PETITIONSFOR THE PRIMARY ELECTION \nAND FOR FILING INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE PETITIONS \n  \nThe deadline filing nominating petitions for primary election is March 26\, 2024 at 5:00 PM central time.  If a petition is mailed by registered mail by March 26\, 2024\, at 5:00 PM central time\, it will be considered filed. \n  \nThe deadline for filing nominating petitions to run as an independent candidate in the general election is April 30\, 2024\, at 5:00 PM central time.  If a petition is mailed by registered mail by April 30\, 2024\, at 5:00 PM central time\, it shall be considered filed. \n  \nNominating petitions for the offices of: \nBuffalo County Commissioner\, District Two \nBuffalo County Treasurer \nBuffalo County States Attorney \nPrecinct Committeeman Republican Party  \nPrecinct Committeewoman Republican Party  \nRepublican Delegates to the State Convention \n  \nshall be filed in the office of the County Auditor located at the Buffalo County Courthouse\, 112 Osman Avenue\, Gann Valley\, SD\, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. \n  \nNominating petitions for the offices of: \nPresident \nUS Representative \nState Senator -District 26  \nState Representative – District 26B \nHeartland Consumers Power District Subdivision 3 \n  \nshall be filed in the Office of the Secretary of State\, 500 E Capitol Ave.\, State Capitol Building\, Pierre\, SD 57501\, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. \n  \nThe deadline for filing nominating petitions to run as an independent candidate for president in the general election is August 6\, 2024\, at 5:00 p.m. central time.
